My powerpoint presentation will mainly consist of the most influential rock drummers in the history of that particular genre. The reason I'm doing this is because to cover drumming in every genre and the drummers who are popular to each genre of music, would take hours on end to explain and I only have a certain limit as to how long my presentation can last. But there are other drummers from genres besides Rock that I respect and admire greatly and deseerve as much if not more recognition. Ask anyone as to qwho the best drummer in hisory is and they will easily tell that Buddy Rich has made the biggest impact as to how the instrument (instruments) sound and what they are to an ensemble. Buddy Rich is the reason you'll see a drum solo every now and again at any concert you go too. In a way you can say that Buddy Rich establ;ished the drum solo and made playing the drums as technical a task as it is today. Despite being a Big Band/Swing drummer, you can hear the grooves, technicality, and overall Buddy Rich style in Rock, Hip-Hop, Funk, even Heavy Metal drummers. Rich may be the influential drummer ever, but the presentation will only be limited to the history of rock drummers, because they're the most well known. And I honestly want my presentation to be interseting to people.
